God Will Take Care of You

"casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7

You have heard the saying "I don't care how much you know, until I know how much you care." What if you tell that to God in your morning talks? What would He answer?

Right now you might be going through a tough time, concerned about your well-being. Or you might be grieving the loss of a loved one. Maybe you are going through a divorce or some other family dispute. You could be through the hardest stretch of the school year. Right now you might be going through financial hardship, or suffering a painful illness. You might be going through a deep time of sadness, and despair, and nothing seems to be going right.

What would God say if you tell Him I don't care how much you know, until I know how much you care?

I imagine God saying "come to me and I will give you rest. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. I want to prosper you and not to harm you; I want to give you hope and a future. I will supply all your need; I will wipe away every tear from your eyes. Trust in me, I am with you."

Wait a minute, I don't have to imagine! God actually says that in the Bible. Please find the verses at the end of this message. I have told that to the Lord not only once but many times and in many ways throughout my life. Sometimes my faith in Him is like a wave in the ocean, high one moment low the other. Nonetheless his presence remains as firm and secure as a beacon. I have felt it even when nothing seems to be right, and you my friend, may feel His presence too.

No matter what you might be going through right now, just know that God is with you and He is in control of everything. Hold on to the promises that God has spoken to you through his Word. There is no comparison to the goodness that God can reveal in your life and as the old and beautiful hymn says "God will take care of you, through every day, o'er all the way; he will take care of you, God will take care of you."

1
Be not dismayed whate'er betide,
God will take care of you;
beneath his wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.

Refrain
God will take care of you,
through every day, o'er all the way;
he will take care of you,
God will take care of you.

2
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
when dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.

3
All you may need he will provide,
God will take care of you;
nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.

4
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
lean, weary one, upon his breast,
God will take care of you.
